Here are just a few of the activities for the month -
Highlights:
- More professions of faith
- Additional evangelism training
- Continuation of discipleship
Disasters continue throughout the state of Oklahoma and elsewhere. I think that they are stark reminders of the disastrous times ahead for those folks without Christ. Normally, when storms are approaching, we have some warnings from the people who are aware of the impending danger. Christian brothers and sisters, where are the warnings from us. Just as a good meteorologist observes the weather conditions, we should be observing the times. We are seeing a convergence of things as described in Matthew 24. Even though we don’t know the day or the hour we should be able to see the storm coming. Let’s warn people of the impending danger and where they can find shelter.
Speaking of disasters, we at New Generation Baptist Church hope to be able to help with disaster recovery efforts as the Lord gives us opportunity. We have been in contact with Brother Lavon Haden of “Just the Crumbs Ministries” with the hope of being able to support them as the opportunities arise. I (steve) am looking for volunteers who would be able to assist in this effort. Please contact me at the phone number or email address below for more information. In particular, we would like persons who would be able to pray and spiritually counsel with people. We want to have some Oklahoma teams.
We are continuing with our Bible studies “outside of the four walls” during the week. Some of the folks that have attended our Bible studies have attended our regular services on Sunday. We are discipling folks as we are given the opportunity.
Evangelism training is continuing both within the Church and without. Brother Chris is continuing to raise support for his status as an Evangelism Explosion Field Worker. If you happen to feel God’s leadership in supporting him financially, he would greatly appreciate it. We can look at this like he is a missionary for that’s what he is. He has been involved in evangelism training at a Church in Lawton, assisting them in training.
Please continue to pray for us! We appreciate your support both prayerfully and financially.
