July 2019 Report

“Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Psalm 96:1-2

I love these verses! Because they are related to three of my greatest passions:

Singing - “Sing to the LORD”

Songwriting - “Sing to the LORD a new song” and

Evangelism – “Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day”

All for the glory of the LORD!!

Thankfully, this month, we have seen the LORD at work in all three of these!! For example, this month I was inspired to write a song called “Free to Love” which is about the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to not only bring freedom from the penalty of sin, but also freedom from the power of sin so that we can freely love God and others! God has been opening doors for me to share this song not only in our church, but also at Church in the Park, at an outreach event with a church in Lawton, and also with another church youth group this upcoming Saturday!

This month it has been exciting to see music work hand in hand with evangelism! Through the Mission Norman organization, I had the opportunity to lead music for block-party outreach events to trailer parks and apartments in Norman, OKC, and Moore. Through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit we saw around 30 children respond to the invitation of the gospel!! Hallelujah!!! How wonderful is the salvation of the LORD!!!
