I hope that things are going well for you and your church. We are continuing our services in the building and on-line. Our overall weekly attendances have increased during the last month. During one of our recent bilingual services – 50% of those attending were Hispanic. We continue in our discipleship and evangelism efforts even during this pandemic. During the last month we have had several professions of faith. We have found that people seem a little more cognizant of their mortality and are searching for answers. We know that we have the answers for people’s hope for the future. Please continue to remember us in your prayers as we move forward in these uncertain times.
Below are some excerpts from Chris’s report:
This verse continues to be an encouragement to me at New Generation Baptist Church. We have been ministering for several years now, so it helps when the LORD encourages you to keep going! He has done just that this past month!
We have done countless hours of ministry at the local food pantry and homeless shelters and have probably shared the gospel over 1000 times, sowing much gospel seed! So it’s encouraging to see a little bit of reaping now and then! For example, we shared the gospel with Josh and Larry at Mission Norman late last year and now they have been attending our church regularly! This is the father and son from Michigan. Larry has heart problems – with double by-pass surgery and many stints. His son Josh is 19 and nice young man who is very talented in composing music. Last week we had to take Larry to the ER because of his heart – he could hardly breathe and he didn’t think he could make it through the night! But thankfully, through the prayers of the church and the courage and giftedness of his surgeon, Dr. Gautem from India, Larry has found new life! He had a stint installed in his heart that had 80% blockage – it was a risky procedure, but it went well, praise God! And now Larry feels much better!
We love Larry and what he offers to the church and so we’re very thankful that he’s feeling much better! He has a very humble and selfless heart and has helped with some plumbing problems and vehicle repairs – my Toyota and also the church van! God is good and faithful to our little church to bring people like Josh and Larry and all of the other wonderful church members we have! Praise God for his faithfulness!
Please continue to pray for us! We appreciate your support both prayerfully and financially.
