December 2022 Report

We had several guests with us through the month of December, and nearly all of them have been with us for consecutive weeks and seem to be plugging in to the life of our church. One of the exciting things we have worked to implement and have great leadership for by one of our folks is a welcome team. We believe that welcoming and hospitality should be both organic and planned, and that’s what this team is seeking to be intentional with. Each week, we have about a dozen folks in specific, strategic places from our front doors to a coffee area. This has served to accomplish more than just welcoming newcomers but has also created excitement among our people as they serve and take charge of serving in this way.

We took 25 of our Afghan neighbors to a local Christmas event where they heard the Christmas story and the Gospel in their native language. For most of them, this was the very first time they had ever such news. We were overwhelmed and overjoyed. Following the program, the host church provided a meal and gifts to each family.

We are looking forward to seeing how God will continue to work in us, through, and among us in the coming years and are open to whoever he leads!
