December 2019 Report

"Reflecting on God's Mercy and Grace"
Post Date: 12/31/2019
Author: Nathan Brewer

As we reflect on 2019, the mercy and grace of God is on full display. In January, we established a ministry team to plan out three intentional community events in our neighborhood to reach and serve families. Through these events, we connected with hundreds of folks. In God’s sovereignty and goodness, we saw several of these families again as the school year began as we served families by providing supplies. A few of these families trickled in during our Thanksgiving drive for providing meals. It seems that each interaction became more and more impactful and personal and each one more direct in our conversations and presentations of the Gospel. When the Apostle Paul lays out the common pattern of evangelism in 1 Corinthians, he highlights that God is the one who gives the growth as faithful men plant and water. We believe this year was a year of planting and watering, and we are anticipating and trusting God to continue providing opportunities to continue sharing the Gospel.

We are exceedingly eager to enter into another year of ministry and presence in Northwest OKC. We are winding down a year of focused energy and work, as well as winding down a month of intentional simplicity and rest through December. In January, we will begin an 18 week preaching series through the book of Colossians as we point our peoples hearts to the preeminence of Christ and his work for us. We have several men and women we are walking with in discipleship and are grateful for the growth God has caused in our people.

Grace Harbor wished you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
