November 2021 Report

November was a great month at Grace Harbor for many reasons! We have begun building a relationship with a local organization named “Hope is Alive”. HIA is a revolver program for addicts who have completed initial detox steps, and are now re-entering society as employees and on the journey of healing and restoration. Many of them have begun a relationship with Christ since starting HIA, but many still have not. For Grace Harbor, our work with them has been two-fold: meeting basic needs that many of their residents need, and praying for/with them, and ministering to them. Our church set a goal to provide meals for each of the 8 homes in the OKC area for those who may not be able to return home for obvious and various reasons. By God’s grace and our folk’s generosity, we were able to meet this need completely and abundantly!
This was topped off by being able to have nearly 50 HIA residents in our worship gathering on Sunday, November 21. They came to share about their ministry, and a couple of residents shared their testimony of salvation and recovery from addiction. These residents know how to worship the Lord! The things they have experienced and the darkness they have seen in their lives seems to give them a deeper understanding of how magnificent God’s grace is. HIA is committed to these men and women, and seeing them not merely survive, but thrive in the places God is calling them.
We also welcomed two covenant members in November.
