October 2023 Report

October was quite the full and exciting month. We spent time with brothers and sisters of the BMA of Oklahoma at the annual meeting. I want to express my deep gratitude and appreciation for the churches of the BMA who have supported the work in OKC, and who agreed to continue this support. As an association, I am grateful that the “overhead” of expenses is dedicated to church planting. I have friends who are part of other groups, and the overwhelming amount of finances are dedicated to staff and not to the work of planting. I believe that as long as our association keeps this priority, we will be an association that God continues to bless.

This past Sunday was our 6th birthday celebration and Fall family Sunday. We had well over 100 in attendance(many of those families of members who were being commissioned as parents of newborns). We welcomed 5 new members to our body and brought two men before our body who we are pressing as candidates for elders that will be installed and ordained in December. This time of worship was followed by a great meal together.
