We are continuing to meet in the church building, but we are also practicing social distancing. Chris, Luis and I continue to handle the preaching. Chris and I have completed our Weaver’s Discipleship training and the EE GO2020 evangelism training. We have been able to use some of the things that we learned in this training in our daily ministry efforts. We are slowly moving back to some of our outreach efforts, but we are trying to be careful about our actions in regard to interactions with people.

Our on-line Bible studies are continuing and I believe that we are seeing some growth, in these areas. Chris has seen some professions of faith and we have also observed some rededications of peoples lives in serving the Lord.

Chris’ Monthly Report:

We’re continuing to live in a strange and unprecedented time – but we are seeing the Holy Spirit at work in our church during this time!  While many churches are seeing a decrease in attendance or have not even reopened at all, we have seen our attendance grow by over 50%! And through the internet, we have been ministering to family members from different cities in Oklahoma (Enid, Stillwater, Ringwood) and different states! (Arizona, Nevada, and even Florida!)  Praise God!

For the last couple months, the virtual bible studies that have started have also been encouraging!  A woman named Jenny has been joining Carol’s bible study on Monday nights.  I would describe her as a true worshiper of God who frequently exults in the glory of God and loves to praise his name!  She was even a missionary to Israel for several years!

Jeff Coles, a longtime member of ours has also started a bible study on Friday nights through the book of Proverbs.  I think Jeff has the gift of teaching and I have seen the LORD at work in his life as he has been faithful to lead this bible study each week!

Just today and yesterday I have seen the LORD at work, transforming lives!  Yesterday I was getting my car detailed.  Afterwards I shared the Evangecube with this man, and he wanted to record a video of it on his phone to share with all of his followers on “snapchat”.  And then today he sent me this text:

“Hey brother good morning.  Thank you for the good news.  I’ve been attempting to dive in deeper into his word.  And Him exposing Himself through you yesterday really just let me know that I’m on the right track.  So I appreciate you and the role that you played in it…”

You never know how the gospel will make an impact, so if we will be faithful to share, the Holy Spirit will do His work!!

One other encouraging report – Our church has resumed ministry at Food and Shelter for Friends on Monday mornings where we continue to minister to the homeless.  Today, I began to see some fruit of our labor!  At Freddy’s restaurant today I saw Phil, a homeless guy our church has been ministering to off and an over the last few years.  He has been living in an Oxford transitional house and has been working at Freddy’s for the last three weeks!  Praise God that he’s at work transforming lives!!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
