Missionary Steve Puckett
Greetings from Norman, Oklahoma. Below, I have included Chris’s monthly report in its entirety:
On Sunday evening, Pastor Steve preached a sermon on 1 John 3:17-18:
“whoso hath the world’s goods and seeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.”
Steve and I agree that although our church is small, the love of God certainly dwells richly among us! Not only through word and tongue, but deed and truth! For example, our people have compassionately welcomed needy strangers into their home, clothed them, fed them, and gave them drink through a variety of ways including a homeless ministry and food pantry ministry, all while providing the spiritual food, drink, shelter, clothing and comfort of the gospel! As a result we have seen 6 professions of faith this month from a wide range of people! (Single, married, white, Hispanic, man, woman, and even a young 8 year-old boy!) Praise the LORD that He is at work as we remain committed to caring for people and fulfilling the great commission!
Thank you for all of your support. Come and see us when you get a chance and please – pray for us and the work here in Norman.
