Missionary Steve Puckett
Below is a list of some of the progress for the month:
- 58 – contacts
- 4 – Discipleship
- 27 – shared the gospel outside the four walls of the Church building.
- 3 – profession of faith
- 2 – benevolence
We have been required to reduce our involvement in sharing the gospel at the local food pantry due to intervention from DHS. We are expanding our door to door outreach to compensate for that, however.
Chris was able to recount the following story: Shared the gospel weeks ago with Charles who was not ready to receive the gospel. However, through God’s providence I encountered Charles again at a park just before he was leaving on a trip to Washington State. I was able to share more scripture with him and give him a Bible with his name on it. All of this moved him to tears – the Holy Spirit is powerfully at work in Charles life!
Our evangelism training is continuing to expand for both Chris and I. We both attended some more advanced training in Oklahoma City recently. Chris had an opportunity to help with some training in Owasso and I was able to help with some in Broken Bow. If you would desire to have some training please let us know. “Have Gospel Will Travel”.
We are having our “Family Reunion” at Chris’s house on Wednesday evenings at 7:30. Chris is doing a good job in leading in that. We hope to eventually have one at Luis and Melissa’s house after the one at Chris’s grows. Then Lord’s willing, I hope to start one at an apartment complex where some of our folks live.
We hope to rotate our preaching duties between Bro. Luis, our young Hispanic brother, Chris and I. I believe this will help to sharpen skills and begin to prepare Luis and Chris to eventually pastor churches.
Thank you for all of your support. Come and see us when you get a chance and please – pray for us and the work here in Norman.
